2009 CHALLENGE QUILT

Theme:  Music

Music is something that is integral in our lives.  Choose a song from any source or era--with or without words.  Think of the myriad of melodies and lyrics we have to draw from, and inspire us.  Make a quilt in any style you like that reflects your song.  Your quilt can be traditional, or an art quilt--but most importantly, your own creation using techniques and materials of your choice--piecing, whole cloth, embellishments, painting, stamping, stenciling, etc.  The quilt should be constructed in the usual 3 layers.  Let your imagination be your guide!

Maximum size:  48" x 48"  --any shape or size, as long as it fits within this limitation.

Quilts will be presented for voting at our January 2009 guild meeting.  Each quilt will be accompanied by a card posted with your title.  Your name will not be revealed until the quilt show in February.

Most of all--have a great time creating your quilt!
